What I work on

I take on focused projects and longer engagements. Most of my work falls into four areas.

  • Full-stack product development

    New features or whole products, from database schema to interface. I’ve shipped subscription gating, real-time chat, CRM integrations and mobile apps.

  • Backend & API engineering

    Rails and Node.js backends, REST APIs, Redis caching and integrations with services like Stripe and HubSpot, plus the AWS, Docker and CI/CD setup to run them.

About

I’m Haroon, a software engineer based in Lahore. I started out on the MERN stack and moved steadily toward the backend. These days most of my time goes into Ruby on Rails services, AWS infrastructure, Docker and the CI/CD pipelines that ship them.

I like owning a system end to end: the data model, the API, the deploy and the page a customer actually loads. That includes the unglamorous work, like upgrading a legacy Rails codebase while the product stays live. Outside client work I build with Next.js, Astro and React Native.
