Stripe and marketplace payments

Stripe payments for SaaS products and marketplaces.

Taking a card payment is the easy part. Marketplaces and subscriptions are where it gets fiddly: onboarding sellers, splitting payments, gating features by plan and keeping your database in step with Stripe’s webhooks. I’ve built Stripe Connect payments for a two-sided app and subscription gating for a SaaS platform.

You work directly with me, Muhammad Haroon: a software engineer with 5+ years of shipping products with teams in the US, UK and Pakistan.

What I can take on

  • Stripe Checkout or the Payment Element for one-off payments
  • Subscriptions, plan changes and feature gating
  • Stripe Connect onboarding for sellers or service providers
  • Marketplace payments with platform fees
  • Webhook handling that is idempotent and keeps your records in sync
  • Stripe’s customer billing portal for self-serve plan management
